-There aren't very many things, that one is sure of.
More so, with that hard certainty that is almost cold.
here's an exception though...
that to look at earth from outside.. from space.. is one of the, if not THE most overwhelming experience one can have.

-"heart in the right place"
frankly I am done with the clichéd lines and their indiscriminate copies that do the rounds....

-People are predictable, sometimes accurately so.
So much so that, one is apprehensive of treading personal waters.

-Urdu and poetry, I think... were made for each other.

-I am totally a lines and moments person.
Someone who thinks... moments make movies
and that average written pieces flirt with redemption, riding on few lines.. and sometimes with success.

-One ought to see warning signs everywhere, that too in red, when one starts to weigh experiences as blog-worthy or not.

-By the way, am I the only one.. who thinks Paulo Coelho is overrated?
I have all my sympathies with him, though.
I can imagine the poor guy, squirming uncomfortably every time he hears his lines blatantly ripped-off.
Take the 'the whole universe conspires....' line. Its been done to death.. from Iqbal to Om Shanti Om.
I understand that plagiarism is increasingly becoming difficult to define and the numerous schools of thought which are as diverse as they can be, aren't really helping the cause, either. True, its difficult to draw the line, where imitation stops and copying starts. Also contestable is the fact that ideas/thoughts can't be copyrighted. Then there are others, who question the validity of the very phrase.."original thought".
But what these movies have done is a blatant rip-off. They quote the line, word by word. And if credit was given where it was due, I certainly seemed to have not noticed.
How can the writer, who ever he/she is, really sleep at night, pray tell me, somebody? More so, when these are the punch lines of the movie, and they are done and redone.
I personally think, its a charming line.
And every time I see somebody mouthing it, as if they couldn't believe they came up with a line like that, I cringe inwardly.
