Travel means different things to different people. Visiting places, getting-away, seeking stimulation - it maybe one, none or all of these. At the very least we want to be able to tell a decent story about it, once it's over.
There are of course lots of stories out there and 'sigh' , 'wow', 'Oh, how I wish', 'I have to do that before I die', 'THAT, I can not do' are usually my inspired reactions.
And then there are those that make you go 'who does that?! It's bollocks'. Stories that force you to reconsider the reasons for which people travel. While you struggle to see the point of putting oneself through all that, someone else might be silently nodding - 'getting' it intuitively.
